Q: Cyst on my Ovary

Hey Ladies, I had an ultrasound today at 8 weeks 1 day and the doctor said I have a fairly large cyst on my ovary. He said he's not cocerned and that we will keep an eye on it. But I'm scared to death. Has anyone else had this happen to them??

it's a corpus luteum cyst, it assists the placenta & usually goes away after it takes over. the only real danger is that it can twist & rupture.....i had one w/ dd that never went away, it was the size of a plum! It was never an issue, just watched & it went away after she was born

I had a cyst on my ovary, it resolved after about 10 weeks I believe...they will just keep an eye on it, I think they want them gone by a certain number of weeks or something like that. There doesn't seem to be a reason to worry, it's helping with some hormone or something and exists in some women.
