Q: 7 week scan, will i be allowed a picture? (UK)

Im going for a scan soon, ill be 7w2d, and i was wondering would they allow me to have a scan picture or would they say id have to wait until the 12 week one?

They gave me a picture (only allowed 1 but it was free), the nurse said only if everything is ok with the baby.. measured 7w3d. Cant wait for 12 weeks now :)

Just ask. Its not difficult to print out a picture o_O
Just had an ultrasound at 10 weeks and I asked for a picture and got one of my lil gummy bear.
Though at 7 weeks things may not be too clear for a picture...

my hospital only does 12 week and 20 week scans unless something is wrong

I didn't get one for my 7 week scan because my hospital only does them for the 12 and 20 week scans. I think it depends on where you are; some do, but make you pay, while others do them for free. If you ask the scan technician, he or she should tell you when you'll get pictures.

Mine have given me at least one (and usually 2-3; I got 7 from the 20 wk scan) every time I have had a scan. Some are just print outs, a couple were glossy prints, and a few I got on a CD.

I have found so many times in my hospital anyway, it depends on sometimes who is carrying out the scan. In my experience I have found some sonographers quite unsympathetic to just how exciting it is and even refuse to let you look at the screen.
That being said, they should give you one, or at least you should ask as sometimes they forget.

yes they will give you a scan picture i got 3 last week at 8 weeks
