With my first born I was told I was having a girl at 2 different ultra sounds. I finally picked a girls name and had everything ready and it ended up coming out a boy. I hadn't picked a single boys name but when I looked at him, his name popped into my head. Right now I'm going into my 5th weeks, my DH and I have gone through at least a million names. I keep telling him that we have a long way to go before we pick a name but he insists on discussing it. I find that quite a few people pick a name during their pregnancy then when the baby comes end up with something different because they just happen to 'look like a __________' instead of the original name they picked.

oh yeah us too. I found a girl name right away. I can't find a boy name I like either. The one boy name I love my mom and dads friends grandson is named that. So now I have to start all over again. It's such a long process and I'm glad I have some time to think about it. I made myself a list and will go through it with my husband. Your not alone. Good luck and hope you come up with something soon. :)

Yes my husband and I finally agreed on a name about 1-2 weeks ago. He would turn down all the names I suggested(Owen,Carter, etc.) and then I refused to use his names(Dane, Dan, Vergil :\) The middle name we had for a few weeks before we agreed on the first name, I compromised and let him have Daniel as the middle name.
I did the same thing as the previous poster, I wrote down all the names I found that I liked and then when I could get DH to sit down long enough I'd read what names I had found that I liked and see what he thought of them.
Good luck to you, I'll be 30 weeks tomorrow and hoping we don't change our minds from now till birth!

We're having the same problems...decided on and stuck with a girls name easily and right away but as for a boys name we're only almost there with a decision although I can't help but feel we're settling for the name because we both 'don't mind it'. The problem is with us that we both have very different ideas for a boys name.
I've found a good way to search for a name (as well as baby books and online) is to read the credits at the end of every film and TV programme, lol!! Good luck to you :)

Yes! It took us ages to find a name we BOTH liked. At about 30 weeks, we finally came up with two names that were agreeable to both of us. Now we've just finally settled on one of them and I just hope we don't change our minds once we finally get to meet our little guy!
I spent ages looking at baby name websites. I just went through lists and lists of names. Then I made myself a word document on my computer of names I liked or even just sort of liked. Then every once and a while I went through the list with my partner and took off the ones he didn't like. It was an annoying process, but in the end I had a list to think about and so did he. After a few weeks we both found that the same name sounded better and better to us in our heads. And that's how we settled on a name.
Good luck! It will come eventually. :)
