Q: Wow! How your mind changes when you are pregnant. Please read and tell me your thoughts.

Hi ladies,

Well I am 20 weeks pregnant now. I am a professional ballet teacher and currently own a ballet studio that runs 6 days a week. I have a business partner who is much older than me, she has 3 children of her own.
When I feel pregnant I was SO against giving up work and had planned to only take 2 weeks off after baby. My husband and I live an hour from family and I would have to seek a nanny as my hubby owns three businesses.
Before falling pregnant my business meant so much to me, it was my baby. I have put so much time and effort in over building its 3 years.

Yesterday I made the decision to sell my share of the business!!! I have this overwhelming feeling of needing to be with my baby and enjoy all the first moments. I never ever thought I would feel this way?

Has anyone else had anything like this happen to them? Xx

It is very important to bond with your baby, the baby needs you! My whole life changed when I was pregnant after reading the Attachment Parenting book by Dr. Sears. My daughter ended up being what they call a high need baby and I have not gone back to work in two years now. I do want to work again someday, but it is just so much more important to be with your children, they will never be this young again and it goes by very VERY fast! Congratulations!

Aww this is fantastic, good for you! Your baby and you will be glad you got to spemd these precious moments together. I remember reading a question from you a while back and somehow remember you only having 2 weeks with your baby and I wondered how you were going to manage that. Not only physically but emotionally. I know everyone is different so I hoped for the best for you but I'm so glad to hear you're going to get to be with your baby longer than 2 weeks :)
