Q: Dilation and Mucous Plug.

Its my first pregnancy, so I know only what Ive read or heard but can you be dilated without losing your mucous plug? Or maybe I didnt realize when I lost it?

Yes. With my first two i was dialated when I went to be induced, had been dilated somewhat for a couple weeks, but the midwife said that with both, i lost my mucus plug while in labor. After my water broke was when it was actually "lost" Kind of fun to look for in the last weeks of prgnancy though! Everytime I would go to the bathroom, I would anxiously hope to see it.
