Q: Working full time, Mother of a 2 year old, Making it through this pregnancy....

I feel icky.....not awful, but icky....Me and my Hubby both work full time and we have a two year old. I am 7 weeks pregnant today. I find that I am slacking at work and feel like I am not being the "Super Mom" that I was before. I know I am only human but I feel bad for not being up to par as a Manager at work and a Mom at home - anyone else going through this? I want to enjoy the pregnancy but I feel overwhelmed and exhausted :(

Omg KatieK - So true! Oh I will be drugging my child with cough syrup for nap time if that happens! (Totally joking) - thanks for the response.

I too, work full time, and a have a 3 year old. It does get better during the 2nd trimester, and then you start to slack a bit during the 3rd. No worries though, the toddlers won't remember, and you have to take care of yourself and the baby inside or you won't be able to take care of anyone else. Good Luck..everything works out in the end, and the way i see it...we are only "getting through" the half of it! Wait til you have anewborn and a toddler who no longer naps...my WORST fear!

Don't feel bad! I found the first trimester to be extremely exhausting but it gets better you'll slowly get your energy levels back once you get closer to tri 2. I remember I could barely get up and clean the house/ look after my son and then go to work..I thought I was going to die! Lol. And working full time would be physically draining at this point since your naturally very fatigued during early pregnancy. It gets better I promise! :) hang in there!
