LOL, I gained 19 lbs in my first trimester with my first! Total weight gain was about 63 lbs - yikes! I was able to lose it all but 2 lbs, but now I'm preggers again and so far its 8 lbs in the first... I've was hungry constantly but now nausea is coming on strong and so is constipation so I'm eating less and not sure how much of that is actually weight gain or weight that will eventually, well you know, come out lol.

I only gained about 2 lbs, but I had bad morning sickness. I really didn't start gaining weight until the end of the second trimester. Since then I've gained 1lb a week. My weight was below BMI too so I need to gain a little extra. You shouldn't be putting on a bunch of weight the 1st trimester though.

I actually lost one pound in the first trimester due to nausea/vomiting but am now 18 weeks and have gained 11 pounds. It is different for every woman and every pregnancy. :)

Everyone ive spoke with along with my obgyn adviced me that in first trimester anything between 6-10lb gain in first trimester is normal. It depends on persons build etc. Remember water blood and the placenta is formed by then. Baby doesnt weight much but after 20 weeks half to a lb a week is mormal gain for a total of 25-35lb gain.

In my first pregnancy, I gained 10 pounds in my first trimester! I was extremely hungry all the time, so I couldn't really help it. Also, I was fairly skinny to begin with, so I had been told I should expect to gain quite a bit. Now I'm 11 weeks into my second pregnancy and have only gained 3 pounds - but I started out a bit heavier than last time, so all in all, I weigh about the same now as I did at the same point the last time. I think our bodies just know what they need and will gain whatever is necessary for your baby.

I gained 5lb in the first 12 weeks. I grazed ALL day in an effort to stop myself feeling sick. It didn't work, but it was a good excuse to keep munching :-)

I gained about 6-7 lbs my first trimester. But anything healthy was discusting for me to eat. All that I ate was crap and junk food so I probably gained more than I should. Or I just used nausea to eat the good stuff.
