i failed the 1 hour by 1 point. so i had to do the 3 hour test. it was horrible. the sugary drink makes you want to be sick. but mine was normal, i wouldn't worry too much (i know, it's hard!). if you happened to have gestational diabetes (worst case scenario), then that's what this test will tell you, and they can help you. if you don't have it, you'll have a huge feeling of relief! good luck!!!

I have many dibetics in my family so I can say this with confidence, It shouldnt matter what you eat if you are not diabetic then your body whould keep your sugar at a normal level. I know that isnt what you wanted to hear. :/ I know I will end up with the 3 hr test also cause I have been checking my sugar on my own and I know it has been high. Hope everything goes well for ya!

Yes. It's a VERY long wait, so bring a book or something to entertain yourself. It was awful for me, I had to do the 3 hour twice during my pregnancy with my daughter, (I had gestational diabetes). I felt like I was going to be sick several times during the test, but I refused because they told me if I threw up I would have to retake the test and there was just NO WAY I was going to do that.
