Q: Contractions, or not Contractions!?

So as of this weekend I started have pains that would start at the front of my stomach below my belly button andthen radiate to my back. They were pretty painful too, and lasted about 30 seconds each time. So I staryed to time how often they came. They were not getting getting closer ( one was 4 min apart, then 12 min then 8 min and so on and gradually they became less and less. Now I know no one can tell me officially and i have a doctors appointment tomorrow morning where I will make sure to inform her. But until then what does this sound like to you? Any one else having the same pains? I know also about braxton hicks contractions being very common at this point in a pregnancy but they arent supposed to be painful :P

If your in true labor your stomach will get hard & soft over & over plus the contractions normally get stronger & stronger & doesnt go away.

Mine get quite intense too! Told the doctor today and she believes its 'false labour' but I was informed to start timing them to see if they start falling into a regular pattern :P which hopefully they don't. If they continue by the next appointment she said i may be leaving work early. :S

I had my first set of them. They were so bad I had to throw up. Like really really bad period cramps. They were very irregular and very strong. Felt the little girl moving the whole time during them. They were common with my mom and sister but I am still going to talk to my doctor about them.

They can be painful. When I was pregnant with my first my son I had braxton hicks bad and very painful starting in March. They contractions were strong enough where they had to stop them from turning into labor. So they can be painful they might tell you to take tyenol to help.
