Q: Internal vs. External Vaginal Swelling

I'm 28 weeks pregnant and have been dealing with sever internal vaginal swelling for weeks. This is being caused by poor blood circulation due to the baby resting low and not an infection.

I'm looking for advice / stories from other women who have experienced this. Specifically, I would like to know if it made vaginal delivery more difficult or traumatic..did swelling increase after you delivered? Did your doctor or midwife suggest any remedies to help reduce the swelling?

When I was pregnant with my daughter I swelled terribly downstairs, inside and out. It was very uncomfortable, icing my vagina seemed to help some. You could try that. I can't say it made labor any worse, my daughter was my first live birth, so I really don't have anything to compare it with. But I only tore slightly and aside from terrible back labor, I didn't have any other complications, if that helps at all. Hopefully you can find some relief.
