Q: Pregnant or not? I can't get to doc for two more weeks! Help!

Shew! Where do I begin? Around July 9th I started my last "normal" period. Around the time of expected period, Aug. 4th & 5th, I had a light period. I thought it was strange but in the last few years my periods have lessened from 8 days to 4-5 days. So I thought nothing of it. Then I had some episodes of nausea & diarrhea. Still I thought nothing of this (mild stomach bug maybe, diarrhea every morning when I woke for like 5 days). Felt tired and had sore bb's. Still no biggie, expected period for September. Realized I was a week late, with lots of cm. So I tested. As soon as I dropped the sample on test it lit up like a Christmas tree to my complete and udder shock, after trying for 1 and half years! Had sex that night, and started brown spotting, progressed to black blood, then to bright red, then back to brown before tapering off 10 days later. (filled pantyliner 2 of those days in 6 hours) Preg. test neg. wk later and bb not sore anymore?? I would be about 11 weeks

I'm really sorry hon but I think you m/c'd. I hope you are one of those miracle stories where that's not the case but from what you describe it sounds like that. As for the bleeding for 10 days, I would go to the doc sooner than later for that as that doesn't seem all that normal but I could be wrong. Insist on your doc prescribing you progesterone as it can reduce m/c's by 50%. I think it's ludicrous that doctors wait till you've miscarried a few times before prescribing it. This is my biggest pet peeve when it comes to doctors. In most cases, anything before 6 weeks will not show anything but blood. So no tissue will be passed that is big enough to notice. Big hugs to you hon and I hope they can get you in sooner.

I have had about 4 since my miscarriage at in 2011. I should have been safer during those times because I wasn't in a relationship with anyone and was still grieving my miscarriage. I guess with the chemicals I never took them that hard. I had one a couple months before I got pregnant this time. Hope you can get in and get it figured out. Also switch doctors yours sounds like a bunch of assholes.

Agree w/ luckymommy...sounds like a chemical pregnancy. I had one of those last month and was VERY shocked to find myself pregnant again this month. Definitely go to the doc just to double check. Doesn't mean you should give up though. Good luck and update us!

Continued....

My bb not sore\full feeling anymore. I still am experiencing some nausea and have a slight pressure in uterine area. Did I miscarry? I never passed any clots or tissue. Only mucus and blood along with period-like cramps and low back che. I also experienced something even stranger. The period cramps radiated down my thigh and calf muscles/bones and was very painful. It was more focused on the right side. What does all this mean? I have my first prenatal visit scheduled for Oct. 4th. I called, but they act like it was a big deal and told me if I was very concerned to see my family doctor. I had a previous miscarriage a year and a half ago and have been trying ever since. I feel I miscarried, but because of the lack of clots and tissue does that mean I will need a d&c this go round? only blood has been expelled thus far. This sucks not knowing what is going on! Please help with any advice!
