Hi I didn't use cloth for my first son but I am planning to with this baby. I am going with Green Mountain Diapers cloth prefolds and wool covers. I am also planning to buy a few Thirstie Duo covers for long car rides and trips. You can find reviews for most if not all cloth diapers on Diaperpin.com!

(cont) other brands like that and put hemp inserts in them to help with how well they work. It's tough for anyone to really tell you the way to go, because it's mostly going to be your preference. Some say the all in ones like bumgenius are great/easy, but at night they do the prefolds (like hemp) and wool covers and night for heavy wetters but the complaint on the prefolds is usually the bulkiness, which I don't care about. I care about how well it works and what's comfy to the baby. If you do prefolds like I'm saying you'll see people say to watch the size of the clothes because sometimes the clothes the baby is wearing will need to go up a size due to bulkiness....Sorry if I'm not too much help but read, read, read and look at craigslist. Many moms are willing to help and talk to you about it and give advice. Good luck and you can message me if you like, don't know if I'm much help :) but I'm here if you like.

I'm looking into this also and what my research suggests is this: I want to get hemp prefolds and wool covers. Pricey yes, but you don't need as many covers, nor do you need to wash them often. You spot clean and lanolize like every 4-6 weeks and if you lanolize correctly, they keep diaper from leaking out extremely well. Otherwise there are so many options. So far I've gotten some all in one BumGenius, some fitted newborns, covers needed, and my next is to just get the hemp prefolds to top off the rest. Bumgenius are easy and have great reviews, but even a lady I just bought some diapers from says prefolds are the way to go. Once you get used to it, it becomes the easiest. Just research a bit...Ive been doing a ton of it and from reviews I want the hemp prefolds with wool covers. I've gotten great deals on craigslist so far on bumgenius, things like that because I believe it's best to have a little variation to see what I will like best. You can even get the bumgenius, or ...
