I think it wasn't so much my timing so much as the fact that once I was free of work I was SOOO much more relaxed and stress-free, so it "allowed" my body to go into labor! lol

lol! I guess it depends what kind of job it is. My job isn't physically demanding... I'm an ESL teacher. But it still wears me out towards the end of the day. Just wondering if it's worth wasting all my energy so close before going into labor... I come home and "work" at home, so it's too much sometimes.

I was going to work up until I went into labor with my first....at almost 38 weeks I just couldn't do it anymore. Standing for hours at a time, bending over a lot, ugh. Anyway, I went on maternity leave and went in to labor 3 days later!! If you can do it, more power to you!! I would definitely have a hospital bag packed in the car though just in case! :-)
