Q: The only thing I want to eat is carbs???

I love vegetables and fruits; eating them has never been a problem for me. I'm just shy of 7 weeks and I don't want to eat anything that isn't a carb. Potatoes, bread, pasta, chips. I tried eating veggies and kale today (a usual favorite of mine) and couldn't bear to take another bite. I'm worried that all I want to eat is unhealthy stuff...anyone else experiencing this or talked to a doctor about it?

Oh my goodness, I am right there with you! I can not stop eating carbs. All I want is pasta and dairy products. I've been trying to eat more fruit and veggies, but I'm afraid that milk and bread are going to be the death of me. I don't know how I'm going to kick these cravings lol good bye, pre-pregnancy bod.

I was like that with all my boys, had chips at 3am, chips for breakfast, chips for lunch, chips for dinner, I was a chip freak!!!! And that's with the crisps in between! All my boys (now 16,12 and 9) was and are perfectly healthy :)

I think your body knows what its lacking so as long as you throw in some goodness all is good. This time round I was a bit more prepared for my naughty chip habits and brought an air fryer. Have you thought about healthier was to cook the chips, potatoes etc if it makes you feel better?? Typically this time round chips and crisps make me want to vomit hahaha.

I dealt with it too, mostly first trimester. Prior to conceiving we were on a health diet (not weight loss diet) and included NO carbs whatsoever, once pregnant that all flew out the window. I'm eating much better now but still not completely on the diet by any means.

So funny cause I'm right there with ya. I'm a no carbs girl the rest of the time. I have never liked bread of any kind and anything made with flour makes me gag!! But all the sudden its all I want to eat. I'm practically shoving dinner rolls down my throat at dinner as if there the best thing in the world. So weird.. But I read that the carbs help the baby grow so I just try not to over do it. I wonder if Ill go back to normal after or if all the sudden I will have to explain to my mom how after 30 years of hating flour I now love it lol
