Q: Fetal heart rate high

Has anyone had a baby that always had a high heart rate and be fine ? My dr isnt fully concerned yet but did make a comment about the heart being very high every time. Could this mean there is something wrong? I did the bad thing about googling and now I am praying next check up is more in the average range

My baby girl's HR was 178 and 179 the first couple times we checked. And has slowly gone down a little each time and last time was at 154. Dr hasn't expressed any concerns. Don't worry!

What was the heart rate? Our fetal heart rate was high in the beginning; in the high 170s. It starts to balance out later in pregnancy. :-) I found this chart online, I hope it can help ease your mind. :-)

Normal Fetal Heart Rate Chart

Fetal Age/ Size of the Fetus Normal Fetal Heart rate
2 mm embryo and gestational sac diameter of 20 mm 75 bpm
5 mm embryo and gestational sac diameter of 30 mm 100 bpm
10 mm embryo 120 bpm
15 mm embryo 130 bpm
5 Weeks (Beginning) 80-85 bpm
5 Weeks starts at 80 and ends at 103 bpm
6 Weeks starts at 103 and ends at 126 bpm
7 Weeks starts at 126 and ends at 149 bpm
8 Weeks starts at 149 and ends at 172 bpm
9 Weeks 155-195 bpm (average175 bpm)
12 Weeks 120-180 bpm (average150 bpm)
