Q: high level of WBC in urine...???

i am 37 weeks...and just found out that my urine is having 18-20 level of pus cells...dr said take antibiotic...
will this effect my baby and dr told me it could lead to pre term delivery... is it so???

Take your meds! Your Dr wouldn't prescribe an unsafe antibiotic for you. I had a UTI at 9 wks & had to take antibiotics as well. Your Dr is correct that untreated UTIs can cause preterm births. Also, you do not want to be sick when you actually do go into labor. Take your meds, drink cranberry juice, feel better!

At 37 weeks, you're considered full term. I wouldn't be concerned about per-term labor at this point. Any time baby decides to come out now is fine. Take the antibiotics. You don't want to risk giving baby an infection as well.
