Q: Ultrasound 5 weeks 4 days today

Had a little spotting this morning. Went to my OB and did ultrasound. They only saw the gestational sack. I know it is early and you usually can't see more than that. I have a 2.5 year old son and 2 miscarriages after him. I don't have as many symptoms as I did with him. Although, it has been a while and maybe I can't remember! I have to pee all the time, breasts are tender, acne breakout, back pain, not as tired as I was at this point with my son.
I am so nervous something is going to happen. I have a follow up ultrasound scheduled on Dec. 1. Please someone! I need a little encouragement and a hug!

My specialist wouldn't even do an ultrasound for me at 5 weeks because it was too early to see anything... 5 weeks is also pretty early for a lot of the more obvious pregnancy symptoms to have kicked in for most ladies.

I know it's hard but try not to stress - it isn't good for you or the little one!

At 5w3d my HCG levels were 7200 and on the ultrasound only saw a sac, went back a few days later at just over 6 weeks and had a HB of 132 which was super strong for only 6 weeks.
As you said it's just too early. I know how you feel this is my 6th pregnancy with only one living child who's 7yr. I've had 4 losses in 12 months after seeing HB and 3 d&c surgeries. So a lot of us understand your worries and concerns. I'm now nearly 18 weeks so I am sure God will be good to you this time. Sending you lots of warm hugs. Try and relax keep busy and enjoy x

At 5w5d my hcg only 890 and my ultrasound only showed a gestational sac. At 6 weeks I was 2,105 and saw both gestational and yolk sac. Finally at 710 I was 22,400 hcg and finally saw fetal pole. I've also had 3 loslosses and am currently 23 weeks and baby boy is growing right on track. Odds are it's too early to see much of anything and your hcg wasn't high enough.
