Q: Bleeding again... 4th time.

I'm 9 wks 5 days pregnant, and today I started bleeding again! This is the 4th time this has happened. I just got off bedrest and cleared to go back to work yesterday, so today DH and I went to get bagels for breakfast, and it started again. I have had 3 sonograms in the last week, and everything looks good and our peanut has a good strong heartbeat.

Has anyone else had bleeding during their first trimester, but continued to have a healthy pregnancy? Doctors keep telling me that they cannot find the source of the bleeding, but everything looks great and baby looks greats.

I'm just very frustrated!

I had bleeding in my first trimester I has a hemorrage in my placenta due to low progesterone level. I was on bedrest for a while and put on meds to elevate progesterone level through all first trimester and had to go to dr pretty much every week. today we hit 30 weeks and our little peanut is doing wonderful. So scary I know I hope everything goes well just try to stay positive=)

Thanks for all your responses! My bleeding has been bright red bleeding, and its like a sudden gush, then it stops. Saw my doctor today, it is a SCH. I have a sono on Wednesday. I'm hoping its small bc I've had 4 sonos already and they haven't noticed it yet.

I too have an SCH. Ask your doctor about it. If you've had an ultrasound it would show up on there. I have spotted brown blood off an on since my big bleed at 5 weeks.

I had my first bleed at about 7 weeks, and a really big bleed (gushing) at 9 weeks. My ultrasound showed a subchronic hematoma (hemorrhage), a tear between the placenta and wall lining. It is apparently quite common and alot of them go un-diagnosed.
My doctors gave me a 15% chance of continued pregnancy at 9 weeks and I am now 14 and a half weeks pregnant with a 90% chance of continued pregnancy. Any red, new blood must be investigated ASAP...but if it is brown (I have had light brown that I thought was red after going to the bathroom) then it is okay.
Now my SCH has thickened and started to shrink. I have had 17 days of continued brown bleed and the last 2 days of very scanty light (tingy) discharge.
Ask your doctor about the chance of a hematoma and hopefully you will get some more answers, good luck.

I didn't have bleeding but I had brown spotting if I walked or stood for too long. It stopped after the first trimester and the doctors never found out the cause of it either. I put myself on partial bed rest because my doctor wasn't doing anything. Walk only when you need to and if you work let them know what's going on. They might be able to give you a stool or something if you have to stand at work.
