Q: Spotting light brown, pink and orange-ish for a few days. Am I miscarrying? :S

I'm now 6 weeks and 2 days. I've noticed spotting when wiping since 5w4d. First it was very kight brown colour, then pink the next day, and then it turned kind of orange-ish... It's only noticeable when wiping, and not even everytime at that.

I'm reeeeaaally worried and scared that I might be miscarrying. I've been cramping and having backaches since before I even got my BFP, that hasn't changed. Also I'm still experiencing other symptoms.

I have my next prenatal appointment at 6w5d, so it's soonish. They won't do an ultrasound then, though... :(

I still notice some weird colored spotting once or twice a day... Have a prenatal appointment today, going to ask if they could do an ultrasound or something.

I had brown spotting a couple of weeks ago (about 6 weeks along). When they did an ultrasound, it turned out I had a small cervical tear. I actually started bleeding a couple of days ago and ended up in the ER. That time it was just a result of the placenta attaching. It's stressful, but try not to worry too much. If you need answers, insist on a doctor's appointment. Fingers crossed for you and good luck!

Praying all goes well for you. When I m/c I spotted brown only when wiping for 4 days and got heavier over time, then changed directly to red blood, but never filling a pad in an hour. I had no pain until the day I actually m/c which was at 7 weeks. This pregnancy I spotted bright red a single time after a constipated BM and a single time after sex. I have had cramping since before my BFP this pregnancy and still have it at 17 weeks. I know it is hard not to stress, so I am not going to tell you not to. Hopefully your doc will do a scan asap to put your mind at ease.

Thank you ladies for your answers!

Yes, I forgot to mention I already notified my dr about the situation, she wasn't worried yet.

Hoping for the best, preparing for the worst. Trying my best to relax, not very successfully, though...

I had spotting at the beginning of all 3 of my miscarriages that progressively got heavier but I also had bright red spotting at 6 weeks, 8 weeks and 13 weeks with this pregnancy and everything has been fine. It's not a for sure sign of miscarriage. Try to breath and relax...I know easier said than done. Unless you are filling pads or having severe cramps it could just be the baby burrowing in deeper. When I miscarried it was very heavy and the cramps came in intense waves like contractions.

When I had my miscarriages, there was no doubt. I had no spotting ahead of time. Just one day, I was bleeding as if it was my period. Heavy, bright red. I would let your doctors know. To me, it sounds more like old blood what you're having, which isn't a sign of miscarriage.

Good luck!

You will only no for sure if they do an u/s or run 2 lots of HCG bloods 48hrs apart to see if your numbers are increasing or decreasing. Some woman experience bleeding through pregnancy. My personal experience it's never been a good sign. But everyone is different every pregnancy is different so until they do either of the 2 things I mentioned you won't no for sure. Wishing u the best
