I just read that you don't want to use fertility meds. I wonder if you have just tried clomid. Out of 9 times no twins with us. we had 5 misscarriages. SO I don't have 9 kids.
Clomid is on the lower possibility for twins. Wish I could help with your orginal question though. Good luck in your trying.

Thank you ladies for your response, the advice and for caring. So hard to wait with this overwhelming feeling in my lower abdomen just like with my previous pregnancies. We struggled for 3 years to get pregnant with our 6 year old boy and in the next 5 years, I have fallen pregnant twice, but had miscarriages with both. We decided to not use fertility medication as it increases your chances of conceiving twins or even triplets, but me and hubby has both been checked out physically and all is as it should be. Leaving it in God's hands, but I am wanting one more child with all my heart. I will give it another few days and retest, and then post an update. Thanks again.

If nothing changes in the next while I would book an appointment to see your doctor, let them do some blood work regarding pregnancy and fertility, I would be looking to rule out the beginning of menopause, often it starts with irregular periods that are closer together than normal I am sad to say. But it can quickly be confirmed or denied with some blood work and if you have been trying for 5 years do you already see a fertility specialist? If not I would be asking for a referral asap. Best or luck to you!! I hope things go well

I know it's hard, but if I were you I'd wait a few days before testing again. That way, either you're a few days late or you know that your period has started.
If you're out this cycle, you might want to check out the sister site to this one - http://www.countdowntopregnancy.com/ - where you can chart your cycle and symptoms during the two week wait while you are waiting to test. I used the site a lot when we were TTC.
Good luck!
