the shape of your bump depends on YOUR body/muscle/number of children/ type and has nothing to do with the baby...with my sons and daughter I had the same non-basketball bump... with my sons people used to predict me girls, I remember

I carried the same with both my son and daughter. It is your body type, not the sex of the baby.

People say the dumbest things without even thinking about how it will affect others. No, belly shape doesn't matter, neither do symptoms. I looked the same for both of my babies, gained about the same amount of weight and had the same lack of symptoms...I have one of each. Trust the sonogram over the myth believers!
Good luck with delivery! =))

No, that's not possible, that's an old wife's tale. The way you carry is personal to you and has nothing to do with how you carry!

People have also said that I must be having a boy too and she very clearly has girl parts! I agree with all the other ladies. UT's are trained to know these things.

I second what the other ladies have said. it is an old wives tale. The way you carry depends on your personal body and has nothing to do with the gender of your baby.
People say things without thinking about how they affect you. :)
