Q: Clearblue pregnancy test with weeks indicator

I took one yesterday afternoon at 4 weeks 5 days, it came back pregnant 3+. This morning with first morning urine I took another and it came back as 2-3. Should I be concerned about miscarrying? Have any of you had something like this happen and then go on to have a healthy pregnancy?

No no other signs, I've never had bleeding or spotting with any of my miscarriages, they have all been missed miscarriages except 1, so all after heartbeats were seen except that one.

I could never get that test to get to 2-3 so I'm not too sure how accurate they are. I finally realized they were stressing me out too much and just had to stop and trust that everything was ok until I had a reason to think otherwise, but all was fine! Easier said than done, but I would stop testing and get into your dr for a HCG blood draw... that's gonna be the most accurate at the end of the day!

Stickybean, when you had this happen and miscarry did you have any other signs at the time. I don't have any indicators that I might miscarry, however I know sometimes they arent.

Thank you everyone. I am trying to not let it worry me too much. I do believe my HCG is higher in the afternoon/evenings. As with other brands of pregnancy tests I have always gotten darker positives in the afternoon. I have taken so many tests and they have all been positive. I will wait a few days and take another one and see what happens..

If you go on Amazon and read the reviews on the CB with weeks estimator, you will see many women experienced the same thing. If you are concerned, call your dr. I found after reading all the reviews, I probably wouldn't use the weeks estimator to keep checking at home. see here: http://www.amazon.com/Clearblue-Advanced-Pregnancy-Weeks-Estimator/product-reviews/B00D05VGC8

I'm not saying this will happen to you. But my experience once they go down its not a good sign. I've had it happen and miscarried. It went from 3+ to 2-3. I know some people don't like these tests but I've always found them to be extremely accurate. I've had 6 pregnancies and only 2 living children.
HCG levels should be going up not decreasing no matter when the test is taken specially the next day with FMU. I would get a more accurate answer and have your doctor run 2 beta HCG tests 48hrs apart to ensure your levels are rising. It could be a dodgy test or anything you never know. Wishing you the best outcome

Your hormone levels do fluctuate a bit and being 4w5d you're levels would be on the edge of 2-3 and 3+ for those tests. I wouldn't put too much thought into it. Unless you have spotting/bleeding/severe cramping I'm sure everything's fine

Hi ya hun.. from when I was on countdown to my pregnancy where ladies were trying to concieve it could be that your hormones levels are stronger at night.. I wouldn't worry just yet. The most amazing thing is that you have a positive test. I haven't personally had this problem but I don't believe in digital tests. Have you tried testing with other tests? Congratulations though hun.. great news!!
