Q: Anyone have horrible bleeding at 12 weeks plus!?

This is my second pregnancy first was very healthy no problems! Wednesday afternoon I went to the bathroom at my moms (thank God I was there) pulled down my panties and they were soaked in blood. Sat on the toilet and the blood literally poured out of me when suddenly I heard blood clots hitting the water. I literally panicked my mom fished out the clots thinking this was going to be a miscarriage. The blood was everywhere the scariest thing I've ever been through! She brought me straight to the ER. Confirmed baby was there measuring correct and had a heartbeat of 177 but had two small subchoronic hemorraghes on the left and right side of gestational sac I was sent home for a threatened miscarriage and put on bed rest. I don't see my OB until Tuesday. I've had off and on bleeding anywhere from red to brown but brown mostly since Thursday. Wednesday was bright red and lots of clots about 4 hours of bleeding through hospital Kotex and the pads they put underneath you! Anyone have this?!?

This EXACT same thing happened to me at 12 weeks. At about 2 or 3 in the morning I woke up bleeding and had 3 big clots. Went to the Doctors that morning and baby was fine. The spotting/bleeding continued (no more clots) until ~15 weeks and hasn't come back since (knock on wood). Baby was and still is fine. I think bleeding in pregnancy is much more common than we think. I bought a home Doppler too and it has been the best investment I have ever made!

I had bright red bleeding around weeks 6, 8 and 13. My daughter is a healthy 2 month old now! I also stayed on bed rest/couch rest after each bleed and it stopped. I ended up buying a home doppler to check her heartbeat whenever I wanted because the bleeding was making me very anxious. It was quite a relief to have that. Try to rest and I hope your little one stays put for the long haul!

I'm totally inexperienced in this, but was just wondering if they checked to see if your placenta had perhaps torn from your uterine wall. I know that can cause severe bleeding. I had placenta previa with my dd and was on partial bed rest due to the risk of the placenta tearing away.
