Q: Early Contractions = preterm labor?!

I am 22 weeks and was released from the hospital 2 days ago. I was having contractions every 5 minutes. They gave me meds to stop them. When they slacked up, they let me go. Both days since release I've still been having contractions, some pretty strong, but not close or consistent like they were when I went to the hospital.

My question is, have any of you ladies experienced early contractions, was put on meds, and still carried full term? Seems every case I read about, the mother eventually delivers preterm, even if only a month early... I'm worried of delivering early, especially after being put on meds to stop contractions at only 22 weeks... just looking for reassuring stories that I can still carry full term.

Thank you, ladies! See my OB in a week so won't be able to ask him until then. Any reassurance, experiences, or advice until then is very welcome! I'm freaking out!

I went into preterm labor at 27 weeks and 34 weeks with my 2nd. They gave me trebutelin (not sure if thats spelled right) so stop them. At 35 weeks I needed 2 shots and pills of trebutelin and then it worked. I went full term and delivered at 39 weeks 3 days. He was a happy and healthy at 8 lbs 4 oz.
