That actually sounds like a pretty average weight. =) No need to panic. If the doctor thinks baby is too small they will keep a close eye on you in the coming weeks

I agree with HzlGreenEyes! You have plenty of time for baby boy to put on the weight! I was 36 weeks and my baby girl measured at 4lbs. She was born at 39w 3d weighing 6lbs even. I had a small baby, but very healthy.. I think yours will be bigger!

Also looking at the chart for weight, looks like you have nothing to worry about. It is around the weight it should be... just a few ounces shy. My 1st born was born at 39w6d and weighed 6lb 6oz.... You still have time to go! Relax!!

It could be a few things. Could be Genetics, could be the placenta. Also it could be anemia in you... have they scheduled you for a high risk appointment? Also, an ultrasound is not always exact and it is approximate.
