Q: Hypertension and Pregnancy

I was wondering if there are any ladies with chronic hypertension who managed to have a healthy pregnancy. What meds were you on if any? Complications? I have readings of 162/95, 147/99 and 130/101 mmHG. My doctor says its not too good and prescribed methyldopa and diazepam? Im worried... a lot!

I began this pregnancy on blood pressure medication, which I have been taking the last several years. However, pregnancy can lower your blood pressure, especially during the 2nd trimester so I actually stopped taking my medication with my doctor's approval. My blood pressure readings have been normal thus far (always 120/80 or under). The medication I was taking is called Nifedical XL (60mg daily) and it worked well to regular my blood pressure prior to pregnancy.
