Q: Anyone else with Subchorionic Hematoma?

I started some light spotting with some cramping on Wednesday so I got right to the OB on Thursaday and had a vaginal ultrasould and the doctor couldn't find the baby! I was a wreck! They sent me to high tech ultrasound place and they did 2 different types of ultrasould and found baby measuring 5 weeks 6 days with a heartbeat! I was so relieved! However no good news is not shrouded by worry for some reason these days! I went back to the doctor and she said I had a small amount of blood in the gestational sac but it was nothing to be concerned with and it is fairly common and they usually heal on their own. I, the crazy person I've become have now researched this online and I'm scaring the beejesus out of myself! She only said not to have sex for 2 weeks My next appt. is March 26th. Should I be worried? FYI they also found a smaill bleeding polyup on my cervix which I think was the cause for spotting.

I have one too. Bled, more of a daily spot, since 6 1/2 weeks. Bleed just stopped 3 days ago. I am in my 13th week. Baby looks great. Dr. Told me to take it easy and don't have sex. I am sure everything will be okay. I was freaking out too but can't help it. Lol. I bled with my other too and they both went to full term no problems :)

Ok after some logical thinking, I am not sure your Dr or anyone could see blood IN the sac bc on an US it shows black for pockets of fluid, such as the sac or a clot (SCH). It probably is an SCH but I would definitely call and get her to diagnose it with the correct medical term to be sure. Good luck and if it is a SCH and you haven't or aren't pouring blood I believe you will be ok. I too read the horror stories. I don't have sex, strain, lift (except my daughter), or stand and walk for long periods. I hope this helps but definitely talk to you Dr about the diagnosis.

My SCH is not in the gestational sac. It is outside of it and is getting smaller. I haven't had any spotting and I am 12 weeks tomorrow. I go back in Wednesday for a scan. I am not sure blood in the sac is the same thing as an SCH.

I'm now wondering why the doctor never said "subchorionic bleed" and she said "blood in the gestational sac" is this the same thing? I wish it weren't the weekend! I'm freaking myself out!
