I will of course check with my doctor. As far as the zika I am not worried one bit. It is a lie to cover up effects of a certain vaccine that pregnant women get but since this is a very argumentative topic, i will leave it at that.

OMG, absolutely do something for a babymoon. Sounds like an amazing idea! Agree with the other responses about verifying with your doc that there's no reason you shouldn't and also about Zika. My husband and I went to Belize at the beginning of the year and were told we absolutely weren't allowed to TTC until the month following us being back because of it.

Definitely not embarrassing, you should totally take a babymoon! I would ask your dr. before traveling to either of those two places, though, as I believe they're both travel-restricted on the CDC website due to zika outbreaks.

I think you should be ok. My OB only asks that I don't fly in the last few weeks. Some airlines won't let you fly in the last month or will require a written note from the doctor if you are far enough along but you should be at 15-16 weeks. Just check the policies for the airline you are traveling on since it will be to a different country and may be a long flight. If there are any complications with your pregnancy your OB may say something different so it can't hurt to run it by him/her but I would say bring on the babymoon. :)

As long as there is no complications with your pregnancy and your Dr says it's fine, it's like taking a "Babymoon" so go and enjoy your time!
