About Me

I'm 43 and DH is 40. I have one living son who is 21, and I have 4 stepchildren, ages 18, 16, 14 and 8. They keep me on my toes and I love a big family..

I've been married for almost 4 yrs, and we've been trying to conceive for nearly 3 years after the stillbirth of our son, Oscar at 40wks. Now we'll be extra worried for the next 9 months, but are incredibly grateful to be pregnant at all at my age.

Baby Girl is still not named - girls names are way harder to pick than boys names for some reason! I'm in my 3rd trimester and so excited for this last part to pass by and have her in my arms. We have a list of 4 or 5 possible names, but we're waiting till she's here to see who she looks like. When we meet her in person, she'll get her name.

My Birth Plan

Initial plan with the specialist is induction a day or two after Christmas if all is well, or if baby is slow to grow or placenta looks iffy, a week or so before Christmas. Now that I have gestational diabetes, pretty much all of December is a possibility - which will make it a hectic month. She might be induced early. I also have a daughter turning 17 on Dec 13th who might have to share her birthday week with her new sister, and my anniversary on the 5th, so wow -it's coming up so fast.
