|Tags: High Risk Pregnancy Planning to Breastfeed Pregnant after Miscarriage Pregnant in my 30s Pregnant with a Girl Rh Negative Stay at Home Mom|
About MeI am a musician and Early Childhood Education grad student. My husband and I got married on April 22, 2017, when I was 30 weeks pregnant with our daughter. She was born on June 3 at 36+2 and weighed only 3 pounds 14 ounces. I was induced due to preeclampsia, which my mom had with me (I was a 32-week preemie). Her heart rate dropped 12 hours into labor so I ended up with a c section. Our daughter defied the odds and is now a happy, healthy 7 month-old. On December 7, 2017, we found out that she'll be getting a sibling around August 19. I stay at home with her during the week and play piano for a church on Sundays. My studies are on hold for a little while.
My Birth PlanAs much as I want a VBAC, my OB feels that given my difficult last delivery and having just had a c-section, a scheduled c-section would be better for me this time. We'll see how things go. If I go into labor naturally VBAC is an option, but she doesn't want to induce me due to risk of uterine rupture. So I guess a safe delivery is what I'll be going for. I didn't get to hold my daughter until the day after she was born so honestly my biggest hope is to be able to hold this little one immediately, regardless of how he or she makes an entrance.
