About Me

About Me / My Trying to Conceive Story
**************A tough journey*****************
After 4 losses plus an additional 2 chemicals in 2013/2014 (which doctors don't count a chemical as actually being a pregnancy here) in 12mths after seeing the babies heartbeats on ultrasound and having to have them removed with 3 d&c surgeries & one natural miscarrage. This has been all within 12mths trying to conceive number 2.

Finally after all this I have given birth on April 17 (2015) to my rainbow baby girl. This was my 6th pregnancy.

Aug 2013 - 11w loss had 2 D&C surgeries , baby stopped growing 9w2d they said HB stopped.
Dec 2013 - Chemical Pregnancy
Jan 2014 - 8w loss had 1 D&C surgery baby only ever measured to 6.5 weeks with a low HB until it finally stopped.
Mar 2014 - 6w loss natural M/C was taking aspirin Hearbeat seen on u/s
May 2014 - Chemical Pregnancy
June 2014 - Pregnant (Clomid 50mg) had positive digital tests. Confirmed by dr. And bloods.M/C a week after AF was due.
July 2014 - Pregnant (Clomid 50mg) to perhaps increase better egg quality due to age. (This was my rainbow baby girl)

My husband and I have a 8 year old daughter and now a baby girl
I am 39 and he is 41. Where're never had trouble conceiving.
We have both had testings done due to the recurrent miscarriages. All clear. It has been put down to unbalanced chromosomes 70% cause of m/c as we are both older.

We are a Christian family and live in Australia, we have been married for 10 years. We were only ever going to have one child but then I got clucky with all the babies when my daughter started school and we decided that we would like a second child a sibbling for our daughter Ella. Now that we have done it. My life feels so complete. I don't regret any of our choices or any of the losses. God has a plan for everyone & everything and if my journey had altered in anyway my perfect rainbow McKenna Isabella would not be here today. X

My Birth Plan

Un decided - Nearly died when I had my first child, so this will be clearly thought out and planned, defo having a spinal block.
Epi Dural.

Lost half my bodies blood, went unconscious and was in intensive care for 2 days and in hospital for 8 days had 4 blood transfusions.

Now that I have given birth for the second time. Another near death experience where no one could of every planned anything. An emergency c section resulted with a major blood loss and in ICU again missing that initial bonding time with McKenna.
I would of given anything for a last & lovely experience but it wasn't to be and I'd do it all again in a heartbeat for her. Xx

I just read your profile story; sounds similar to mine :-( No problem conceiving, but holding is another issue but yet you and hubby are supposedly fine. Same with me and my hubby. Glad to see you have a sticky bean!!! God bless. I'll be praying over you <3

follow up went excellent, doctor said cervix can be very sensitive in pregnancy so that was most likely it but she checked up on baby and is going great nice strong fast heartbeat :) thank you for asking :)

Please promise me you won't go on a sugar feast lol. I'm not a dr i just like to read.
You're not wrong and indulging does cause high sugar levels but if you're high risk I think that means at any time during and sometimes a little after pregnancy your insulin could stop working.
All I know for sure is that the UK NHS booklet says although it's not a cause it's not good and that personally i scoff my sweets and so far no GD.
I'm so bad but I have cut back.
