Evan Kaine's Birth Story

Felt the first contraction around 9am but wasn't sure yet as i had a lot of contractions. 11am realized it was real labor. By 3pm hubby, sis and midwife were all here and i was at 4-5cm. Went for a long walk then walked the floor until i couldn't stand anymore. Knelt by the bed while my midwife massaged me. Laid on my left side on the bed, then laid on my right side on the bed. After 2-3 contractions on the right side, my water broke. Knelt in my birthing area and went through maybe 10-12 intense contractions. Felt the urge to push. Got on my birthing stool and started pushing. Little guys heart rate dropped so i rushed the pushing and got him out in 13 minutes. He was blue but quickly started breathing after we rubbed him and i breathed into his face. He and i are both strong, healthy and doing great. He's a champ at nursing, he's very reserved and quiet and he loves his big brothers.
