INDUCTION BOOKED, BIRTH PLAN, IT'S ALL HAPPENING

OB Appt: at hospital today:
I'll be going into the hospital on the 22nd April in the evening to have the gel, they'll break my waters the following morning if the gel works well, they're confident it will as it's not my first baby and the body tends to know what to do, but whatever happens happens. Hoping she arrives on the 23rd my Grandad's birthday, he'll be 89yrs. What a gift for him.
I'll be 39+3 at induction, hoping I go on my own around 38+ weeks though.
Reasons for induction:
* Previous massive Postpartum Haemorrhage (PPH) (I nearly died) in ICU for 2 days,
4 blood transfusions and in hospital for 8 days.
* GD (I have gestational diabeties)
* Age (nearly 39, so over 35 risk with the GD)

Comment from rcorinne » Posted Mar. 20, 2015 2:27am Glad you have a date. Now let's hope everything goes smoothly before, during, and after the baby's arrival. It would he nice to avoid the induction altogether, but prayers for safety and health either way. |
