First appointment....took 2 hours!

Initial appointments always take long....but this was super long! I met with a nurse first, then my midwife...and finally my doctor. All looks good upon examination...my uterus feels 6-8 weeks pregnant (I know I'm only 5w4d but the midwife said with recurrent pregnancies the uterus swells a bit more) and the cervix was nice and purply-blue.....which I guess is a good sign for pregnancy!

I go for my first u/s to check for gestational sac placement on Tuesday and then another u/s 2 weeks after that to check for a heartbeat.

I am considered high risk only because of my preterm labor with my son at 31 weeks eleven years ago....so at 24 weeks I will be going every 2 weeks for internal check-ups.

That's pretty much it.....so far so good. Now I must lay down because I feel like complete crap....and look like it too....! I didn't realize how tired I look so early in the day now.......blech!

Yay! Im so glad it went well! I'll be checking back for those u/s pictures! I would think by Tuesday, they should be able to pick up at least a flicker of a heartbeat. I had my first u/s at 6 weeks and i could see it flickering away!
