Holy thyroid levels!!
By Bostonmama08 » Posted Jul. 17, 2013 1:46pm - 210 views - 2 comments
After calling again and again in to my doctor to just get my damn TSH level....I finally got a call back! My TSH went from 5.3 two months ago (that is low...it's opposite for the thyroid levels....wacky I know) to 0.05, which is REALLY high. I don't have a thyoid and am going based strictly on hormone replacement (Synthroid) so....I will 100% have to cut back on my dosage.
I have the cause of these God-awful headaches, irritability and sleepless nights. THANK GOD!
I know pregnancy can cause headaches and all that goes with it, but mine have been way over what would be considered normal. I knew something was wrong.
Just breathing a sigh of relief that within possibly a week these headaches will subside....

Comment from KenpoMommy » Posted Jul. 17, 2013 3:51pm People don't realize how much thyroid levels, low and high, affect everything in your body. A friend of mine who has really high thyroid level problems is now looking at surgery on his eye because it got so bad his eye started protruding like happens with graves disease. t least all your feeling like crap is due to something fixable. That's good news! | |
Comment from ericalee » Posted Jul. 17, 2013 1:49pm I'm glad you found the reason! It is insane how many things your TSH level can affect. I too have some thyroid issues and I have learned SO much over the last 6 months. |
