I can't believe this.....

So after I called in to my doctor to let her know I was bleeding again......they put me in as an emergency at the ultrasound clinic. I got in the car and drove 5 minutes to the office (thank goodness they are close by). The tech took me right away and I expected the worst....I mean the bleeding was bright red so I was pretty prepared to see half a sac and no heartbeat.

The tech did the ultrasound on the belly....so no transvaginal. I didnt look at the screen until she said, "oh yeah...here we are....there's the baby and its got a heartbeat.". I proceeded to say, "No shit."

So....cervix is completely closed....no bleeding in the uterus....baby is high in the uterus. Baby even grew over .1cm in 2 days. Heartrate went from 112bpm to 120bpm between Tuesday and today. I couldnt believe it.

The blood is coming from the outer part of my cervix...why, no one knows. Hubby and I havent had sex since we found out we were expecting out of precaution...and I dont exercise. Dont do anything strenuous...so I am at a loss. But the blood is there.....and now I am on official "pelvic rest" for the next few weeks.

I just cant believe I have a light period and the baby is 100% fine.

Have they ever checked you for bleeding or clotting disorders? Seems like that would be a good idea after your last pregnancy and now this develpment. I have known more than a few women who bled off and on throughout their whole pregnancies and had healthy babies. I think its why you see women on shows like, "I didn't know i was pregnant" saying they didn't know because they thought they were having their period they whole time. Really, they were having bleeding like yours. And then they had a baby... lol

@kenpomommy...my doctor just said to monitor the bleeding and if it requires changing a pad more than once a day to call her. Also to watch if there is clotting....so I just have to keep track of the frequency and amount. My sister bled her entire pregnancy with my niece, but I thought that was a rare thing. I will go more frequently for check-ups now, which is good. Its usually every 4 weeks but my doctor suggested every 2-3 weeks if the bleeding continues or becomes a habit.
