First, I really enjoy my doctor. She is new to me, and I'm very glad to have been paired up with her. She has been nothing but persistent, patient and gentle through this whole process. Today was no different....today was our "sit and discuss the progress of the baby" appointment.

I had a list of questions for her....and she welcomed them all. She reviewed all of my ultrasounds and said that if we make it to 14 weeks, she is very certain I will carry to full term. With that said though, she did say my blood clot is one of the better ones she has seen in her years of practice. It's not intruding on the sac or the baby...and it's just kind of hanging out minding it's own business. My doctor hopes it will either reabsorb or come out. But, all in all, she seemed very optimistic since I have done this well and made it this far.

I am being monitored weekly until the clot goes away and am on pelvic rest until it does.....no heavy lifting, hiking, sex or orgasms. Check, check and double check.

She said I will see bouts of brown spotting for the next few weeks, and that is very okay. Bright red gushes of blood....not so much....so call if that happens. She wrote down her cell number for emergencies.

So....that's pretty much it. We checked on the baby again....looked great. Heart rate 171bpm. Blood clot getting thinner, but stretching with the uterus....so it's a tad bit longer than last week....but again, the doctor says that's okay as the uterus is constantly growing and the clot will also change it's shape.

I'm optimistic...still slightly reserved, but feel better with each passing week. I have my NT scan for Down's Syndrome in 2 weeks....and my regular ultrasound next week.

I'm glad you have a different doctor this time. That last one didn't seem to care much about whether you ever had a baby or not! It must be a relief to switch to someone who gives a crap. lol

That's great. I found out I had SCH at 7 weeks, and since then I've had one major gush and 3 additional bleeds, 1 hour or less since then. I have no idea what's going on, but my NT is Monday, and I should be 12 weeks and change by then. I don't know if this baby is even alive, and the spotting is like how I know if I'm still pregnant. Sadly its my only pregnancy symptom.
