I've been absent from CMP for a little bit....and active on a subchorionic hematoma (SCH) support group forum over on BabyCenter. Seems this SCH is overtaking my life....
Long story short....my SCH has grown from 2cm to 7cm to now over 9.24cm. It's extremely disheartening. I had brown bleeding for about a week....and was very hopeful that the SCH was breaking up and leaving my body. At my weekly check-up, we learned that brown bleeding isn't always the best thing. The clot, while staying similar in depth/width (skinny at 1cm), is now over 9cm and 80% in length compared to the baby.
The positives are that the blood clot is not affecting fetal growth or the placenta. Baby is oblivious to the clot.
The negatives are that if it keeps growing it can cause restricted fetal growth in time (more in 3rd trimester) and can/will cause early labor.
Our only options are bedrest when I can, drinking lots of water, complete pelvic rest (which I have been on for the last 11 weeks) and hope & faith that I make it to viability....which is 24 weeks.
Given all this.....I have been visiting & posting on a forum where the women are in the same boat as I am with large SCHs, frequent bleeds and are on bedrest. I don't think many on here can relate to me....and I certainly don't want to be a debbie downer all the time! This definitely has caused depression, anxiety and hopelessness for me on an almost daily basis. I do miss being on here a lot....and do check back often to see the updates.
So....that's me in a nutshell. Wondering day by day....thinking, "Will today be a good day?" or "Will today be the day I start bleeding and can't stop?".

 | Comment from according » Posted Sep. 25, 2013 9:10am my prayers are constantly with you!! our 3rd loss I had a ScH (apparently caused from a possible deceased twin) that took our little one at 12 weeks after 6 wks pelvic rest, 5 days bed rest over christmas. The pain and fear of those 6 wks was indescribable..... My prayers that your little one continues to grow & thrive, and that you feel moments of peace & hope! Much love, your friend |

I can totally understand your need to be on a different site, with more woman who can relate to what you're going through. I'm sure i would be doing the same thing if it were me! Hopefully, they can help improve your state of mind and get you through this. Just keep posting those updates so we all know you're still ok :-) |
