omg he is finally here! Logan Paul!
It was an insane experience....woke up at 7:30am and felt slightly crampy....nothing too different. But by 8am, the contractions had me in tears. Hubby and I packed up and our son went with my parents. Made it to the hospital by 10am....contractions were 2-3 minutes apart and painful. Holy moly....bending over in agony begging for relief. Midwife checked me and I was 6cm and 100% effaced. I agreed to an epidural but had to wait.....my bloodwork had to be rushed in and processed before they would give me the epidural. Wow.....it was the worst pain in my life....the waiting, the intense back pain. Whew.....
So finally got the epidural....and 10 minutes later when it did NOT even kick in yet, I felt Logan's head crowning and I was fully dilated and effaced. There was a mad rush to prep....and I was pushing. I felt everything....the head, the shoulders. Luckily because my midwife was doing a perineal massage during contractions, I didnt tear. Thank GOD. Logan was born exactly 2 hours after we arrived at the hospital.....total whirlwind birth.
Its 8:30pm and after our entire family had a huge party in our room to celebrate, I am now relaxing and watching Logan nap.
Oh! He was 7 pounds 7 ounces....21 inches long! Pics soon to follow once we get home on Monday.
