My first prenatal appointment is Thursday, September 17 at 12:45.
I am surprised I am being seen so quickly since I will only be 6w2d, going by LMP. I know to expect blood work & a pelvic exam/Pap, and I think (HOPE) I also get a transvaginal u/s that day so they can determine the GA. It's supposed to take an hour and hopefully they aren't running behind that day. Hubby and I have to leave the office and go straight to work.
Things they may be concerned about could include the fact that my baby doesn't measure 6w2d since my period was August 4 but ovulation/conception wasn't until August 23. (Happened with daughter too.) Also, I have a blood clotting disorder and history of cervical dysplasia with laser ablation/conization. I'm not sure how much that affected my cervix, and with my previous pregnancy I had gestational diabetes and toxemia.
I just can't wait to see the bean. Once I see it and see that it has a heartbeat it will become real to me.
