starting to wonder if this is normal

I'm 14 weeks and 2 days and I don't feel that pregnant. I was one of the lucky ones not to have morning sickness in my first trimester though. The only symptoms right now I have are fatigue and light headedness. I feel like my belly isn't progressing and the few flutters I were feeling I haven't felt in awhile. I went ahead and ordered a Doppler and I am hoping to hear the heartbeat so I can chill out a bit. I was just wondering if anyone else went through this.

Comment from ch3rrypie11 » Posted Aug. 17, 2015 3:56pm Just to update I got the Doppler in the mail today and I heard her heartbeat loud and clear!!! The Doppler will keep me sane for the rest of the pregnancy! I definitely recommend getting one!
Comment from ericalee » Posted Aug. 17, 2015 10:17am I was the exact same way. I didn't get morning sickness until 20 weeks (lucky me!!), felt the first kick at 20 weeks exactly, and definitely wasn't showing much at 14 weeks. Plus, with my m/c history I was always a nervous wreck!! But things were completely normal!! The one word of caution I have for you with the doppler is that it can still be somewhat tricky at times to find a heartbeat at 14w.. Particularly if your placenta is in the front like mine was. So don't panic if you can't find it right away.
Comment from MalPal85 » Posted Aug. 17, 2015 9:26am I felt the exact same way. I ordered a doppler as well and it has been amazing at putting my mind at ease. Just a warning though. at 14 weeks it may still be a little early for the doppler to work right away so don't get discouraged if it takes you a while to find the heart beat but once you get further along you will find it faster and faster. I think I was around 18 weeks when it became WAY easier to find. I know some of them say you should be able to find it at 8 weeks but that is a bunch of rubbish (especially if you have some extra cushion down there like me:) ).
Comment from Kitten90 » Posted Aug. 16, 2015 7:56pm The doppler helped me a lot during that time when I didn't really feel pregnant, I hope it gives you some peace of mind as well! =) I had a belly that kept disappearing up til just a couple weeks ago and I'll be 24w on Wednesday. Also, roughly a couple weeks ago was when I started feeling strong kicks every single day, and this is my second baby. I was feeling my first much earlier than this so I've been really paranoid for most of this pregnancy lol! I didn't have much for morning sickness this time either and I've been spotting throughout the pregnancy
Comment from ch3rrypie11 » Posted Aug. 16, 2015 7:04pm thanks! it makes me feel better I'm not the only one. The Doppler is supposed to be here tomorrow so fingers crossed I hear a heartbeat with it!!
Comment from Amanda_McDaniel » Posted Aug. 16, 2015 6:41pm I was that way in my first pregnancy and I was 22-23 weeks before I felt a real kick. I didn't worry, I was blissfully ignorant back then, but I think, if it'll comfort you, get the doppler and give no one an apology.
Comment from thomasanddawnxoxo » Posted Aug. 16, 2015 3:08pm I felt that way right around 13-14 weeks, I think its probably normal. Now that my belly has popped and I am feeling regular movement I feel very much pregnant. I'm sure in a few weeks you will too. I bet that Doppler will help immensely. I need to get me one of those. |
