Woohoo, the halfway mark! I know I should be terrified because I am officially on a countdown clock that ends with labor pains, midnight feedings, and all kinds of stressful things I've forgotten about over the last five years but all I can seem to think of is a little button nose, those awkward expressions when babies are learning to smile, and seeing Sebastian fall in love with his baby sister. *Dreamy Sigh* And knowing my husband will be home this time to help me makes the fears a lot less scary. Also, I've noticed a lightening of fatigue so I'm in better spirits. Last night, a thunderstorm swept through town and lasted well into early morning. Around 2:30, a clap of thunder startled me awake and, naturally, I then had to get up to go to the bathroom and check in on my son before lying back down. It took me a while to get comfortable again and I guess all my moving about woke Caroline. I've been feeling her daily for about the last two weeks (she moved a bit before my brother passed but grief must have made her less active) but this morning she was flip-flopping like crazy. I put my hand over the movements and, for the very first time this pregnancy, felt a tiny nudge against my palm. It tickled me to death! I was 31 weeks before DeWayne got to feel his son move, thanks to basic training, but her moving already means maybe it will be soon that he gets to feel his daughter. And Sebastian has never felt a baby move before, he's going to lose his mind! Needless to say that this month is really shaping up as a lot better than last month.

P.S. If you're reading this and you're also due in March, I hope you'll come by the March 2016 forum topic and share with us, if you haven't already. With all of us crossing over the peak, we have so much to offer one another by way of support and being on the same timeline.

I can't wait to hear how your son reacts to feeling his sister move. M thinks it's funny when baby girl kicks him, but he definitely doesn't understand what's going on yet.

Congrats on the halfway mark! It is a wonderful milestone to reach, knowing you've made it halfway to meeting your little one! I just started following you, so congrats on your baby girl!! Love the name Caroline!! I'm due Feb 2016, so we're pretty close. My son is 18 months old so he won't react much, I don't think, when he feels his baby brother move. But he does rub my belly a lot! I miss those newborn days already, excited to meet my 2nd little one :-)

Congrats! I really enjoyed the halfway mark with my first pregnancy! I'm looking forward to that this time around too. I'm sure your son will be amazed to feel his baby sister moving around! :)

I really enjoyed the halfway point. You still feel good and have plenty of time to prepare for baby. You are past most of the scary parts too. Baby movement is the best thing ever and I look forward to going home each day, pulling up my shirt and watching and feeling babies move.
