OMG, does that really say 90%? *Panic mode initiated* I have less than four weeks until my sweet girl’s due date! *Squeals* There’s still a bit to do but, for the most part, we are prepared for her to arrive as soon as she pleases. Sooner rather than later, frankly. I still have concerns, of course, like how can I ever love another child as much as I love Sebastian but I have seen enough multi-children homes to know it won’t be a concern for very long. Being my cousin, my midwife said in my appointment that that I could start looking for safe ways to bring on contractions. She mainly said it because Caroline still hasn’t dropped but she’s head-down and it’s okay for me to get a jump on bringing her about. I’m not sure why but my fundus is back to measuring two weeks ahead (38 weeks) after being on schedule last week. I suppose it’s not an exact science so I’m actually beginning to wonder why they bother with it at all. Sadly, my cervix is still high and tight. When I had my cesarean, supposedly the stitching made it even higher than it already was so I swear she has to go up to her elbow to even check me. *Sigh* I also had my strep b test and should get the results back in a few days. That’s basically all we learned and I’m wondering if the rest will end up going the same way… Do all you ladies feel the same way? Like baby will never actually come? Hah! I guess it’s just time to hit up Google for safe ways to bring on those contractions. DeWayne will like the part he gets to play in this portion. He put our little Care Bear in there, he can do the same thing to help get her out again. I can’t believe I only have 27 days (nearly 26 since it’s getting late)! I just put on my first load of baby laundry since I dawdle in putting together my new detergent recipe. I have been making my own powder detergent for about three years but I had to alter the ingredients to make it baby-safe and hypoallergenic. So far it doesn’t smell as heavenly as my usual but I suppose that’s from the removal of all the perfumes and the addition of Epsom salt as a natural fabric softener. Hopefully it’ll get balanced in the dryer with the dryer sheets… Once the laundering is done, we are essentially out of things to do to really prepare. DeWayne still has work to do on those shelves and lights to hang but there’s nothing I can do to hurry him along so I choose not to make it a part of my list. Bring on the baby! Haha! I go back on the 10th so we’ll see if we make any progress this week.

The picture I uploaded is of me with the ones who worked to throw my baby shower. On the left is my sister-in-law Amber, my mom, me and my mother-in-law Marian.
