Chinese Gender Predictor fun
By M.gulud » Posted Sep. 3, 2015 7:08pm - 574 views - 14 comments

In searching today, I found that there are two different Chinese gender predictor charts that are widely used in multiple places on the web. In fact if you google image search the term, you will see the difference. You see it a lot more in the 30-35 year old age range (lots of pink!)

The two places I know that I can see the different ones are Babycenter and The Bump. For those interested, the gender predictor ticker here uses the same one as Babycenter

Babycenter: http://www.babycenter.com/chinese-gender-predictor
(or use the one here on CMP)

and

The Bump: http://www.thebump.com/chinese-gender-chart

I'm curious to see what others get, whether you know or not. For my first, they differ. Babycenter said girl and The Bump said boy. The Bump was right.

For this pregnancy, Babycenter says boy and The Bump says girl.

Edited to add a link to this picture which has specific days on the chart. It's a little different.

Right now I just hope I get to experience whichever one this little bean turns out to be.

M.gulud, lol, the person who "checked" was my cousin in my dream only, bahahaha...we still don't know what the gender will be :). Seems like all friends/family that were "on the fence" have all converted to thinking it will be a boy. Now only my acupuncturist & I think it will be a girl, but I'm happy either way :).

I don't trust my intuition to guess correctly. I look for certain symptoms. I haven't had any gender dreams tho.

They all say it's a girl for me this time, but I had a dream it was a boy. I won't know until December.

Nope, never heard of the hairline test. Interesting.

Becca, I tried the pencil test and it said boy girl. I think I tried it twice, very odd. Have you heard about the hairline of your youngest? Apparently if you look at the hair at the nape of their neck, if it's straight across, it means the next one will be of the same gender, and if it's pointed, it will be the opposite.

Eat, wait? It's a boy? Everyone except for one person told me girl with my son, and I even had a girl dream before I found out.

One said boy, the other said girl. I had a dream it was a girl, and finally when someone "checked" to be sure...it turned out to be a boy, lol.

Both kids the gender predictor was correct. Also, a "pencil test" about 4 years ago predicted all the babies I would have. It said boy girl boy. Curious if our third child really would be a son, but unless our birth control fails, we'll never know. Two is more than enough for me. :P

Mal, the gender predictors are fun, but I still think it's 50/50

PBC, with boy, girl twins, they're all right! Ha. I'm skeptical of Ramzi, but I don't want to be flamed. It was wrong for my son. He implanted on my left. This one is on my right, we will see. Also too early for old wives tales. I hope to post on that later. :)

Stepth, it's all fun to see. Im.still not convinced it's not a coincidence. I'm silly that way. And I'm with you that I'll be happy either way.

Linds, it is definitely interesting to see. Are you going to try to find out before the birth?
