NT scan

It is done at last and I can stop holding my breath.

The tech was nice and showed us a few things on the screen. But mostly, almost immediately, she showed us the top of the head of baby, specifically the ventricles, and said that they were normal. I started crying right there!

Baby was 6.5 cm and heartbeat was 156. NT was 1.5 mm. The tech also said I had an anterior placenta, which is a bit disappointing to me as I can't wait to feel this baby move!

Of course, it doesn't mean everything else was normal in the scan, and even if it was, it doesn't mean there isn't other smaller malformations that just can't be detected at this stage. But it's a start.

My doctor said she'd let me know either way, so I should get a phone call next week if everything was normal.
