That was a contraction????
By sunshinebear711 » Posted Jul. 29, 2016 8:55am - 339 views - 2 comments

So I went in for the second of my twice weekly NSTs today. After 20 minutes the nurse says the Dr wants to keep you in for a while longer. Then came back and was like, "you're not feeling the contractions? You're having one right now."

So, what I thought was him moving his head has really been contractions. I was sent home with orders to call the office if they pick up in intensity or frequency since they are already coming pretty regularly.

Ummm..... yeah.

This is the second NST that they have told me about contractions (the last was 2-3 weeks ago) But I definitely thought he was just turning his head from side to side when the nurse brought it up. And I asked, "That isn't him moving?" and she said, "Nope. That's a contraction!" I had them with my daughter too, I guess, for about 12 hours or so before I actually started feeling anything at 3:30 in the morning and then she was born before 8am.... so... it is possible I guess.

I'm still having them (or what I think they are), but I can't really feel them so I can't track them accurately.... :-/

I had the same thing at one of my NSTs. I definitely noticed when he was ready to come though. I felt them then. Although i had a short labor, so perhaps i wasn't feeling them in the beginning.
