I was right to be scared of my dating scan.

I knew something was up! And I was right to be scared of my dating scan. Had the scan on the 9th July, and there was no baby, just the sac. I suffered a blighted ovum. I'm now recovering from my medically induced miscarriage, which didn't really go well either, thanks to some clots being stuck in my cervix and having to go back to hospital to have them carefully removed, much to my relief. I didn't want to wait for my body to miscarry itself and I didn't want a D&C unless absolutely necessary. So i'm recovering well. My consultant said that blighted ovums are natures cruel joke, and we can try again after one cycle. We are going to ttc again once my body has recovered, and i've pampered myself a bit and primed my body once again. Can't wait to get going again. I want my rainbow baby.

Yes I did still have my pregnancy symptoms, nausea, bloating, off some foods sore boobs etc. Just normal pregnancy signs. I was 9 weeks and thought the pregnancy was going well, no bleeding or pain at all, but I just had feeling that all was not right. Weird. But these things do happen, there was a problem and baby didn't grow. Thats nature I suppose. But like I said, i'm sure you will be fine, and it's normal to worry and be scared of these things. We read so much of this happening on these web sites and it makes up more aware. Please let me know how you get on, and i'll be looking out for your scan pictures. Take care. xxx |
 | Comment from Fitt1981 » Posted Jul. 17, 2013 3:58am I'm so sorry to here this I have my dating scan on Monday I'm also very scared if u don't mind me asking did u still have preg symptoms iv been doing hpt test once a week and they have still been dark iv got bigger but still worried that they don't see a baby iv had on and off brown spotting since 6 weeks look after yourself my thoughts are with u any advice is welcome |
