Husband/Partner Felt Baby Move for the First Time

Baby had been moving around for weeks and I'd tried to get Danny to feel but every time he'd put his hand on my belly, the baby would stop moving. The best times were always right after eating. Tonight for dinner I had a craving for BLT's. So Danny made the bacon and homemade fries. Baby must've liked them because the movements were STRONG and dad finally got to feel his little nugget.

At around 8:00 in the morning there was some tingling in my lower abdomen that would last for only a few seconds. The entire moment lasted around 10 minutes.

Started Wearing Maternity Clothes
We bought my first set of maternity clothes yesterday from Target - a pair of stretchy leggings and a roomy tee shirt. 25% off with Cartwheel and 5% off with Target Redcard and it still cost $36.02!

I didn't have insurance yet and wanted to verify the pregnancy 100%, so we went to Thrive STL for an ultrasound. There wasn't much to see, but there was a little flutter for the heartbeat. :-)

First "Baby Food" Shopping Trip
We went to ALDI and bought $47.05 in healthy groceries - spinach, ground turkey, whole grain pasta, brown rice, bananas, etc. For whatever reason, ALDI was out of peanut butter that day, so we made a trip to Schnucks and stocked up on 5 jars of it.

As a surprise, Danny bought "What To Expect When You're Expecting" and "The Pregnancy Journal" to track the day-to-day events of our pregnancy.

First Positive Pregnancy Test
I woke up feeling nauseous and had a funny feeling about it, so I took a "line" pregnancy test we'd gotten with our fertility monitor and it was positive. So I went to get a digital test to confirm and it was positive too!

Told Husband/Partner
I'd taken two pregnancy tests and gotten a card and rattle and put them all in a cute little box that I gave to him. I cried... obviously.
