I waited till 9 weeks because I had a lot of stitches as well and it hurt to much. One week later it still works but we just take it slow and use lots of lube. Its not that enjoyable for me but I'm sure it will get there lol

don't mean to sound cliched, but I wouldn't worry about when other people resumed lovemaking. whats' important is that it feels right for you. your body has been through incredible changes for a wonderful reason and I'm sure your partner will respect that it may be some time before you're ready, not just physically but emotionally. remember you're likely to be extremely tired, which never helps!
every woman has a different birth experience and dependent upon tears, stitches, abrasions and whether you're cervix is still dilated, sexual discomfort may remain anywhere from 2 to 12 weeks.
basically, do what feels right for you, there are many ways of showing intimacy, and you've just created a beautiful little person together, if that isn't a statement of your love, i don't know what is!
take your time and enjoy yourselves, I'm sure your partner is also anxious about hurting you and will most likely be perfectly happy to wait until you're feeling better.
congratulations :)

I waited about 4 weeks, but it hurt so I waited until I had my 6 week check up. This time around I plan on waiting until my 6 week check up because of possible tears I may have, and I don't want to expose myself to any form of infection with my cervix still being open. Once it's closed, I'll feel lots better. But yes, use lots of lube and also a condom because you're CRAZY fertile after birth.

With my first it was two weeks. With number two it was ten weeks. Just make sure your done bleeding and your comfortable doing the act. Like hopefullll said, it felt like losing my virginity again.

6 weeks to the day. I was super frisky and couldn't take it anymore but I'll tell ya this, never have I been so scared of a penis in my life! I don't know if it's like this for everyone but I swear they stitched me up tighter than I was before because it was like losing my virginity all over again lol. Don't worry though because after the first few minutes it was pretty darn good but did take a few days to feel totally normal again. KY it up and relax and you'll be just fine and dandy:)

Anywhere between 2 to 8 weeks for me. This is my 6th. My Dr has told me when there's no more bright red bleeding and I feel like it. Be prepared: use lube and go slowly and gently and it likely will be a little uncomfortable. If it's really painful you're probably not ready and should wait a little longer. In the meantime there are plenty of other ways to be intimate ;-)

We waited until about 5-6 weeks until I felt healed. I was pretty nervous! We got KY to make sure nothing was not more friction than necessary since I had torn internally and was worried about it hurting.

I waited about 7-8 weeks after my daughter mainly bc i was so scared and had so many stitches.. I know they say to wait atleast 6 weeks usually to give your body time to heal.. Depending on your situation, i would ask my obgyn to be certain what is best for you personally! Congrats on your baby!! :)
