Q: Anyone know the chances of having a second miscarriage after week 8?

I was just curious if anyone knew the statistics for the chances of having a second miscarriage further along in the first trimester. my first miscarriage was at 9 weeks with my second pregnancy. I'm almost 8 weeks now and know that the chance of miscarriage is supposed to go down after 8 weeks, but what about if you've had a late miscarriage before? I'm just scared and worried that I'm going to go into my first U/S next week and hear that theres something wrong...so I was wondering what others experiences or thoughts on this are...

The more prior miscarriages the higher the percentage. If you have only had one prior than you have a 20% chance. http://www.pregnancyloss.info/info-howcommon.htm You can't control it so try not to worry. Have faith in your body and that little gummy bear :) I am kinda going through the same anxieties, I lost my last one at 18wks so I won't feel safe for a WHILE! You will be in my thoughts and prayers!
